Mulhouse SSS8

31/07/2012

Every week, up to the Rally France-Alsace 2012, we will introduce each special stage, decrypted by the Rally’s General Manager, Dominique Serieys, and with the help of the organization stage managers. This week, Mulhouse’s super special stage (SSS8).

Key Factors:

- Friday, October 5th
- 4.65 kilometers
- 1st car due: 18:35
- Number of Course’s Safety Marshalls: 41
- Number of Public’s Safety Marshalls: 58

Analysis:

The drivers will do three laps of the same loop as in 2011, one more than last year, around the Palais des Sports in Mulhouse. This super special stage will provide a thrilling show for the thousands of spectators who will be able to appreciate the talent of the survivors from this testing day.

The opinion of Dominique Serieys, Rally France-Alsace’s General Manager:

- Description: « It is a fast layout, interspersed with chicanes. It is worth mentioning that a third lap has been added, compared to 2011; this stage being the last one of a particularly intense day in the Haut-Rhin. »

- Public Areas (ZP): « Like Strasbourg’s stage, Mulhouse offers a wide choice of very diverse Public Areas. My favorites are the ZP3 and ZP4 which are respectively located just after the starting line and next to the chicane. I also have a preference for the ZP6 which is just facing the long left-turn on the East side, and the ZP8 at the end of the straight before a left direction change. »
