Public Safety: One of the Top Priorities
Like every year, safety will be one of the fundamental matters for the Rally France-Alsace 2012 organizers. Discover the different plans and devices to ensure it.
The organizers of the Rally France-Alsace have made optimizing safety their priority. Thus, identification and delimiting the different zones reserved for the public, sign posting, prevention, access management, car parks and the flow of the cars have been fully thought through by the organization to guarantee optimal safety conditions for all the people present at the Rally.
However, security does not only concern the public but also the drivers and all the volunteers involved in the success of this event. In fact, 760 marshals for public and race safety will be mobilized from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th October 2012, as well as divers state services (policemen, fire fighters…). All categories combined, over 1300 people will look after the safety of the public and the preservation of the environment during the Rally France-Alsace.
In order to sensitize the spectators, numerous radio spots and TV clips promoting safety will be broadcasted on France Bleu Alsace and France 3 Alsace.
And because there is nothing like numbers to tell the truth, here are a few figures:
- 50 000 leaflets to remind safety instructions to the public
- 50 000 meters of red biodegradable ribbons “FORBIDDEN TO PUBLIC”
- 60 000 meters of netting to ensure the safety of the spectators
- 100 000 meters of green ribbons to delimit the zones where spectators are allowed
