Setting up banners, a prime activity!
With several dozens of kilometers of banners along the Alsatian roads, setting up banners is an activity that reveals its importance to highlight the partners of the Rally France-Alsace 2012.
Setting up banners can be seen, for an inexperienced eye, as a secondary activity within a Rally. Banners are nevertheless a very important topic since they allow the partners to display their implication during the event, and offer them some visibility towards the public.
Several meetings are organized prior to the event in order to circumscribe everybody’s locations, and to prepare the banners’ implantation according to the plan. On D-Day’s eve, or a few days before, one or two teams put up the banners, in collaboration with the technical services of each territorial authority which its help within its area.
Half of the available spots are reserved to the World Rally Championship partners. However, there is plenty of room left for the Rally’s partners since most of them (Territorial Authorities, Medias, Suppliers…) can display several kilometers of banners along the Alsatian roads. All in all, more than 10 000 banners are being displayed at the beginning of October.
This year, this topic is even more important since the Canal+ Group, which broadcasts the Rally France-Alsace 2012 live on Sport+, offers a stronger impact to all the partners.
