Quentin Gilbert – Winner Rallye Jeunes FFSA 2009
New step of the Excellence Course set up by the French Motorsports Federation (FFSA) to help its up-and-coming drivers reach the top level, the first “Collectif Équipe de France FFSA Rallye” will be presented during the Rally France-Alsace 2012. Find out more about the drivers that are part of it: today, Quentin Gilbert.
Quentin Gilbert starts rallying in 2008, at 19 years old, and does not have to wait long for his first class victories behind the wheel of a Clio RS Class N. The year after, he wins the operation Rallye Jeunes FFSA and acquires a wheel to compete in the French Rally Gravel and Asphalt Championship.
He then discovers the DS3 R3 in 2011 and receives the very coveted title of “Rookie of the Year” by the magazine Échappement. Since the beginning of 2012, Quentin Gilbert and Rémi Tutélaire (his co-driver) competes within the Citroën Racing Trophy, a new promotion formula on DS3 R3, which rewards the winner with a participation to the Rally Monte-Carlo 2013.
Currently residing in Châtenois, in the Vosges, Quentin will be only a few kilometers away from his homeland during Rally France-Alsace 2012. It will be its very first start in a WRC round. An amazing opportunity, which he is well aware of: “Being part of the Collectif Équipe de France FFSA Rallye makes me very proud, especially when you look back and see that so many famous rallymen have been detected and helped by the FFSA. It will bring us an incredible visibility. It is also a unique opportunity to benefit from a whole team, especially since we are about to compete with the best drivers in the world!”
It is behind the wheel of a Citroën DS3 R3T, prepared by PH Sport, that Quentin and Rémi will walk their first steps in WRC, hoping to show everyone what they can really do…
